Welcome to Summer Flying 2008
The Archives
Here are the results of Fridays Slow Stick Combat.
Seems that Gary talked Troy into getting involved in SS-Combat so Troy got a basic kit from Bill at ABC ($23). Four hours later it was ready to fly. First flight went good. In the meantime Jeff got his Green Demon into the air so I loaded a battery into Dr. Death and thought we would try a little close formation flying. Dr Death ended up chewing the entire tail section off Jeff's Green Demon with only a broken motor mount on Dr D. Had to leave to attend a class reunion and thought that would be the end of the days combat festivities.
Seems like when I left Jeff got his Demon fixed, Gary got his stick going and Troy decided to try his hand at combat. They all had ribbons attached.
Photos of the results attached (Gary won as he was the last to crash ? )

Hi my fellow RCRCM Members:
Last Friday Rick Carlson challenged myself Troy Olson to a RC air combat battle to the end, the result: Troy-1 and Rick-0.
RC combat is a way to spice up the interest in our RC club that involves either RC .40 size trainers in one class and RC Slow Stik electrics in another class. The involved airplanes pull a 30 foot streamer through the air trying to cut the enemies streamer. This form of competition is extremely fun. If anyone wants to get involved, bring out one of the planes mentioned. The campaign continues this Friday June 27 at 12:00 P.M. with Gary Countryman challenging Troy Olson to a RC air combat battle to the end... We are being invaded so we are recruiting the few the proud the RC combat pilots...
Your club President, Troy Olson
